The Trek O Mania Adventures (“Trekomania Adventures”, “we”, “us”) organises treks and tours from Ahmedabad, Gujarat and runs trekomaniaadventures.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Details you give us: your name, mobile number, preferred destination and message when you enquire through the website, WhatsApp, phone or in person. When you book, we may also need traveller names and ages, ID proof where a permit requires it, and any medical condition relevant to a trek (see our Terms and Conditions).
- Website enquiry forms: our Contact form and WhatsApp enquiry pop-up do not store your details on our website. They open WhatsApp with your message pre-filled, and it is sent only when you press send. After that, WhatsApp (Meta) handles it under its own privacy policy.
- Automatic information: your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you view, collected through cookies and analytics tools.
2. Cookies and third-party services
We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors use the site, Google advertising tools (which may set cookies used for ads), Google Fonts, Google reviews (review text and photos shown from Google), and Instagram embeds (videos load from Instagram, which may set its own cookies).
You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on, manage ad personalisation in your Google ad settings, or block cookies in your browser settings (some parts of the site may then not work properly).
3. How we use your information
To reply to enquiries, plan and confirm bookings, arrange transport, stays, permits and guides, keep you safe on the trip, improve the website and, if you have contacted us, tell you about relevant trips. You can ask us to stop at any time.
4. Who we share it with
Only with people who need it to run your trip (such as transport operators, hotels or camps, guides and permit offices), the service providers named above, and where the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information.
5. How long we keep it
For as long as needed for the purpose it was collected and for our legal and accounting records.
6. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no website or messaging service can be guaranteed completely secure.
7. Your choices
You can ask us to correct or delete your information, or to stop contacting you, using the details below. We will respond as soon as we reasonably can. We may need to keep some records where the law requires it.
8. Children
Trips involving children must be booked by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect information from children through the website.
9. Other websites
Our site links to services such as WhatsApp, Instagram and Google. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
